Tong Sui looked down with a sense of superiority at the insects crawling on the ground.
He clumsily manipulated his mental energy, gathering the continuously leaking flow and stopping its release.
The insects, now devoid of scent, appeared lost, scratching their necks in a desperate, empty agony as they twisted in pain.
They craved that smell, like fish thrown into a desert, desperately needing water.
Tong Sui took two steps forward.
In their line of sight, a pair of clean, pale feet emerged, accompanied by loose hospital garments. A masculine insect with black hair and white skin stood against the light, its eyes as dark as ink.
Tong Sui asked, “Do you want mental comfort?”
Countless hands were raised, trying to touch the deity they saw in Tong Sui’s eyes.
But he coldly took a step back.
“Tell me, where is General Bai Xingluo?”
They seemed to be engulfed in chaos, unable to think, casting away all distractions, and devoutly looking up.
Before them, Tong Sui appeared like a divine being descending onto earth, bringing the first beam of light, only to withdraw it mercilessly.
His casually abandoned subjects were already burning up under this beam of sunlight, unable to suppress their fervour.
They would crawl on the ground, praying devoutly.
Yet their hearts were filled with filth, fantasizing that one day the divine being high above would sink into the mundane, that the countless dark sides born in the night would gradually taint that pure deity.
“My lord, please grant me a bit more mental comfort!”
“Save me!!”
“I am willing to become your female servant, my body and soul can be used for you, praying for your affection!”
Seeing that none of them answered his question but instead were lost in their own words, Tong Sui felt a wave of irritation.
He walked up to Lu Yunyi, the only one he felt could still communicate with him.
“Third Prince, you—”
Tong Sui barely uttered a fractured syllable before he suddenly stopped, his long eyelashes trembling.
Lu Yunyi knelt on the ground, his perfectly fitted pure white royal military uniform wrinkling slightly with movement.
A hot, damp sensation suddenly reached his toes.
Tong Sui froze for a few seconds, as if realizing something, and reflexively kicked Lu Yunyi.
“Are you crazy?”
His face turned nearly red from anger, his hands clenched tightly by his side.
After being kicked down, Lu Yunyi did not retreat but continued to gaze steadily at Tong Sui, his bare feet firmly on the ground.
Tong Sui felt goosebumps all over under Lu Yunyi’s unabashed stare.
The residual sensation on the top of his foot was as if it had been touched by some reptilian creature—damp and uncomfortable.
“Don’t come any closer, or next time I won’t hold back.”
Lu Yunyi showed no fear at this threat; instead, his gaze deepened further.
Other female insects cast envious and jealous looks at him.
Why did the esteemed Tong Sui only favor him?
The insect viewers from the Star Net were unleashing the most venomous comments about his shameless behavior—
[Lu Yunyi is too vile; how dare he kiss the lord’s foot without permission?]
[My lord, don’t be fooled by this cunning female insect; he merely covets your mental comfort. He’s not even worthy of being your servant!]
[Can you give me a kick too, my lord? I’ve been training, it wouldn’t hurt.]
[He looks well-presented…]
[How cold it must be on the ground. Please lift your leg, I’ll serve as a cushion!!]
…
Amidst the uproar of protests, Lu Yunyi rose from the ground.
He did not step back; instead, he knelt closer again, leaning forward, “My lord, do you really want to know where General Bai Xingluo is?”
Tong Sui wanted to step back but was halted by his words, “You know?”
The other insects felt uneasy.
As expected, Lu Yunyi softly answered, “I know, General Bai Xingluo is doing well. Do you want to see him?”
“Take me to him.”
“Please don’t rush; I will take you there, but…”
Lu Yunyi’s voice stretched out, “Before that, you must first fulfill my condition—kiss me.”
“Are you out of your mind?!”
“Lu Yunyi! Who gave you the audacity?”
“My lord, don’t listen to his nonsensical talk; we know the location of Bai Xingluo too!”
Lu Yunyi seemed not to hear the insults at all and addressed Tong Sui steadily, “Will you choose to believe me, or this group of completely unfamiliar insects?”
Tong Sui furrowed his brows.
He naturally believed Lu Yunyi more, but this request was too strange; can a kiss serve as a bargaining chip?
Seeing Tong Sui silent, Lu Yunyi pressed forward a little more, nearly touching.
His voice was hoarse and heavy, “It is my fault to put my lord in such a predicament.”
Tong Sui awkwardly stepped back again, unknowingly retreating to the vicinity of the medical bay, stumbling slightly as he leaned on it.
“Change your request.”
“Then let it be for your foot to take action,” Lu Yunyi replied, “But let’s change the place for the kick…”
Following his gaze, the dazed Tong Sui slowly lowered his eyes, stopping at a certain point, resembling a sensitive mimosa being suddenly touched, frantically closing its leaves.
“No way!”
“This request is unacceptable too?” Lu Yunyi gazed directly at Tong Sui, as if he were the one being wronged.
Tong Sui bluntly stated, “No!”
Lu Yunyi sighed regretfully, his gaze lingering longingly on Tong Sui’s feet before he turned and accepted something from a servant who had appeared from nowhere.
